How to Add Proxy in Internet Download Manager (IDM)

There are many people, who are using Internet Download Manager (IDM) for downloading different videos and data, but when you are using it to a VPN ( virtual private network), usually at your school/college labs , might complain that their IDM is not working there.You know Why?
Actually VPN or any school/college network works on a proxy server which controls your network’s security and many other things. So you have to add up that proxy to your IDM to use it properly.
How To add Proxy in IDM.
To Add Proxy to IDM , please follow the step by step tutorial below.

1. Open up the IDM from system tray, situated at right-bottom of your desktop.
2. A window will open, Click on the Option at the header of the IDM windows.
3. A dialog box will open, now go to the Proxy/socks menu.
4. After than, Click on the check box which says ” use proxy server”. and add proxy for your IDM.
5. If you Don’t know the proxy or you are using any sort of VPN then Click get from IE, It will automatically adds proxy to your IDM.
